Hybrid bearing
The next-generation GA+ features a state-of-the-art drive train with unique hybrid bearings. These bearings are made of steel rings and silicon nitride ceramic balls. Why does this matter? Because it ensures lower bearing temperatures and reduced wear from vibration and contamination. Most importantly, these bearings extend the lifetime of the drive train by 33%. The bearings are also greased for life to further reduce service costs.
Oversized coolers
The GA55+-75+ comes with oversized coolers, increasing reliability and efficiency of the compressor. Increased cooling capacity resulting in lower oil temperatures, which in turn results in longer oil lifetime and thus increased reliability. Furthermore, lower oil temperatures result in lower oil carry over.
Smart Temperature Control System
This is the revolutionary Smart Temperature Control System. You won’t find it anywhere else. It replaces the traditional mechanical thermostat to drastically increase compressor reliability and efficiency. Here’s how:
An intelligent algorithm in the Elektronikon® Touch controller calculates the optimal oil injection temperature based on multiple parameters – including ambient temperature, pressure, load, and humidity. The controller continuously communicates with the advanced STC valve to achieve that ideal temperature. This real-time optimization ensures
maximum compression efficiency while eliminating the risk of condensation to keep drivetrain in mint health conditions ensuring reliable operation.
Smart unload
The smart unload algorithm monitors pressure fluctuations in real time to reduce the running time in unload and achieve maximum energy savings. In short, stop the compressor running idle whenever possible avoiding energy losses as much as possible.
Smart no-loss water drain
Smart no-loss water drain on GA 55+-75+ with automatic removal of condensate without air loss, auto-cleaning, and detection of potential issues.
Elektronikon® Touch controller
The Elektronikon® Touch controller provides you with an intuitive easy to use touch screen controller, with built in 4G connectivity. The Elektronikon® Touch controller additionally offers a great variety of control and monitoring features that allow you to increase your compressor’s efficiency and reliability thanks to the many embedded advanced control algorithms.
OPC UA
OPC UA is a language that allows different machines in a production environment to communicate seamlessly and securely to create an integrated network. Atlas Copco was the first compressor manufacturer to offer OPC UA. And it is now available on the new GA+. Because if you run a connected production, of course you need your compressor to be part of the team to achieve optimal system performance and efficiency.
SMARTLINK
With Smartlink, a mobile app, health of compressed air installation is monitored and service is scheduled ahead, ensuring maximum uptime. As Smartlink also analyses the energy performance of the installation Maximum efficiency is achieved, helping to save on the energy bill.
In short, Machine health, efficiency and service follow up are provided in a user-friendly interface anywhere (mobile app) and anytime (real-time notifications), providing peace of mind, even when not on site.
