G fixed speed compressor

The Atlas Copco G4 FF (8152103669) is a Full-Feature oil-injected rotary screw air compressor with an integrated dryer, mounted on its own air receiver — the tank that stores compressed air and smooths out demand. It belongs to our compact G 2-7 workshop range and is built around a rotary screw element, a pair of precisely matched rotors that compress air continuously and quietly rather than in the pulses of a piston machine. A small amount of oil is injected into the element to seal, cool and lubricate it, which is what oil-injected means; that oil is then separated out so the air leaves the machine clean, with a typical residual oil content of around 5 mg/m³.
With a 4 kW (5.4 hp) motor it produces 8.6 l/s (18.2 cfm) of free air delivery — the usable output referred to intake conditions — at its design pressure of 9.5 bar (138 psi). That makes this screw air compressor a sensible choice for workshops, body shops and small industrial users running air tools, spray equipment and general pneumatic tasks, and at 62 dB(A) it is quiet enough to sit close to where people are working.
Because it is a Full-Feature (FF) model, an air dryer is built in. As air is compressed it carries moisture that turns to liquid water, called condensate, as the air cools downstream; the integrated dryer chills the compressed air to remove most of that water before it reaches your tools and pipework, helping protect them from rust and moisture damage. That saves you specifying and plumbing in a separate compressed air dryer.
The compressor runs on a 400 V three-phase 50 Hz supply and starts through a star/delta arrangement, which limits the current drawn at the moment of starting. On-board basic control looks after automatic load and unload running, so the machine only compresses when air is needed. It is air-cooled and therefore needs adequate ventilation around it, and it holds 2.5 litres of genuine Roto-Inject Fluid Ndurance oil — using the specified genuine Atlas Copco fluid keeps the element running to its original specification.
As a fixed-speed unit, it is most economical where air demand is reasonably steady; if your usage swings widely through the day, a variable-speed compressor from the Atlas Copco range may lower running costs further. It is rated for ambient temperatures from 1°C up to 46°C, so it copes with a warm workshop, and it delivers full output up to 1,000 m above sea level, above which performance tapers off. It is made in Italy.
Before ordering, please confirm that the incoming supply where the machine will stand matches those electrical figures, and think through the pipework it will feed and any air-quality requirements you have. Tell us about your typical air demand and layout and our team can help you size the installation and any downstream treatment — get in touch and we will talk it through with you.
